Creating a Bid Package from the Estimate Worksheet
Buildend allows you to quickly create a bid package directly from selected line items in your estimate worksheet. This streamlines the bidding process and ensures accurate scope alignment. Follow the steps below:
- Navigate to the Estimate Worksheet within the desired Project.
- Use the checkboxes to select the line items you want to include in the bid package.
- Once line items are selected, a Create Bid Package button will appear at the top of the page.
- Click Create Bid Package.
Enter Bid Package Details
- Fill in the required package information, including:
- Package name
- Primary contact
- Bid due date
- Site walkthrough date (if applicable)
- Other relevant fields
- Click Next.
Cost Codes Page
- The cost codes from the selected line items will automatically appear.
- Review the details, then click Next.
Select Companies
- Choose the subcontractors or companies you want to invite to bid on this package.
- Use filters (such as trade, city, or region) to refine your list.
- After finalizing your selections, click Save Bid Package.
Note:
If a selected line item is already associated with another bid package, the system will display an error. You must deselect those specific items before proceeding. Only line items not already included in a bid package can be used here.
Once saved, your bid package will be available in the Bids section for tracking and subcontractor responses.
